Do you all know that you’re magical AF (very, wicked, super, magical)?
I get it, as women of the world, we have responsibilities like paying rent, putting food on the table, go to a job, contribute to society, make a change, be the change, and yes all the things! I get it and I’m sure you get it, too. We wake up with an internalized reminder that we need to be always doing something, to be productive in the world, to give to others, or to sacrifice time (all the blah-di-blahs). Otherwise, where does our worth lie? It lies in our productivity? It lies in how much we sacrifice? It lies in what we can give to others?
Well, that’s just BS! Our worth doesn’t come from the outside. Our worth is inherent like our goodness is inherent. We were born with it. We were born this way, just simply good. Keeping this perspective in mind, then what are we doing all of this for? I’ll share my understanding another day.
But today, I’m challenging us to think about why it’s so hard to hold onto our goodness, to remember it. Sooo, what gets in the way of you remembering that you’re good? Share in the comment section :). And do you want to look at it together? Read on.
Here’s the deal, if you’re already on my email list, you may already know about the direction I’ve decided to take Style This Shindig and why. In case you missed it, this space is a community and online shop to help you play, connect, and celebrate in style.
Inspired by some of the kickass women around me, I decided to try something new. This requires that I create something I want to see in the world, a community of kickass and creative women of color. If you’re her, join me! If you aren’t, we’re so happy you’ll be supporting us in this journey. Thank you!
Join the community of creative dance-to-my-own-beat women (who are magical AF), who’s all about living a big and happy life. I’m all about that and I bet you are, too!
